The first day of the walk began with high spirits. Everyone was in a jubilant mood, looking forward to exploring the countryside on foot, which they had heard about and extensively read about. The entire route was dotted with amazing al fresco cafes and restaurants serving authentic cuisine and fresh beers. Each time we spotted a garden cafe, we stopped for a bite and stretched our legs. The long hike took 6 to 7 hours with a few breaks, but was filled with loads of fun. We sang songs, soaked up the local culture and cuisine, enjoyed camaraderie along the way, and met interesting people from around the globe.

 Today, on the last day of our walk, which would end at the grand church of "Santiago de Compostela", we were super-excited. Not only were we eager to reach this iconic destination—considered the Mecca for pilgrims and hikers—but we were also thrilled to have nearly completed a dream hike that many of us had only imagined in the past.

Surprisingly, the last day's hike of 24 km surpassed all the previous days in beauty. Nature bestowed us with picture-perfect vistas: flower beds, meadows, rolling hills, terraced farms, sleepy villages, vibrant cafes, perfectly lined trees creating a stunning canopy, streams, and everything else one would expect in a dreamy landscape.

The happiness of every member knew no bounds as everyone jumped in excitement and posed in front of the church. We had completed the challenge and spent hours soaking in the beauty of the giant cathedral before us. The tiredness and fatigue of the entire journey seemed to vanish the moment we arrived. Such an achievement had to be celebrated in style, so we popped a few bottles of bubbly.
